In September 2006 I left the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, where I had lived for the past four and a half years.
I took a backpack, a day pack and Nikon D70s digital camera.
My plan is to see, photograph and experience as much of the world for as long as possible.
At the time of writing my plan is to travel through Western Australia, South East Asia and Europe.

My name is Rhys and I’m 27 years old. I grew up in Perth, a great city out there on the west coast of Australia.
Before I left Australia for this trip, I lived in Queensland where I worked in communications.
Some of my favourite things included surfing before and after work along the Gold Coast's many beaches, playing touch footy on Thursday nights, and taking photos on the weekend.
